Narrawong Accommodation – ‘Booligal’ Country Retreat

Peace – Quiet – Escape

Booligal Country Retreat accommodation offers you the peace and quiet of a true country lifestyle. Enjoy a relaxed getaway in this lovely Canadian Cedar home, which has breathtaking views in all directions. From the scenic rolling hills and rejuvenated bush land, which is once again brimming with native birds, kangaroos and koalas, all the way down to Narrawong’s beautiful coastline.

Booligal Country Retreat is set on the edge of the iconic Mt Clay State Forest. Filled with beautiful wild flowers in Spring, numerous picnic and BBQ areas, Mt Clay offers endless hours of bush walking and /or Mountain Bike Riding. It is also dog friendly and has toilet facilities.

The ocean and the smell of salt air is just a short 2 km drive away. Enjoy a stroll along the coastline, some surfing or a swim (life saver patrolled over the summer period) in the sea or in the beautiful Surrey River which enters the ocean right here in Narrawong. The river has a boat ramp and is a great place to fish or why not paddle up the river in your kayak, through the scenic farming countryside.

Narrawong is central to Mount Gambier, Hamilton and Warrnambool. All of these locations are approximately 1 hours drive and make for a wonderful day trip. Or if you prefer, historic Port Fairy or Lake Bridgewater are within a half hour drive. Here you can enjoy beautiful beaches, scenic walks, blow holes, seal colonies, fresh water lakes, light houses and so, so much more.

Your accommodation is a three bedroom, very comfortable home, with a fully equipped compact kitchen, lounge and dining area, one bathroom with separate toilet, your own sheltered outdoor entertaining area from where you can sit back, enjoy a glass of wine and of course the spectacular views and wildlife. Inside the house there is also a slow combustion wood fire place to warm you up on a cold winter’s night with plenty of wood supplied. As we are on rain water there are no laundry facilities but a line and pegs are available. Tea, coffee and linen are supplied. It is ideal for that romantic weekend for two or a longer stay with family and / or friends. Booligal Country retreat is pet friendly to a point. Please feel free to discuss it with me… I do have kennels available. This house is set on a working farm of 10 acres, so the occasional cow, horse, sheep, chook or dog will be heard and I do apologise in advance.
